We are very excited to be developing a new project at the EOC we like to call Gather. This is a collaborative project we started to connect our guests to the local culture and community by offering products made in Costa Rica at our villas. We have gathered local items that are a privilege to share with our guests.
A few of these items are:
Cafe Milagro coffee roasted here in Quepos. We carry a House Blend Dark Roast that is harvested from the mountains of Chirripó, Costa Rica’s highest peak. The extreme altitude provides the ideal growing conditions for this selection of arabica beans. Warm, sunny days and cool nights slow the maturation process, allowing the coffee beans to develop their full potential when the fruit reaches peak ripeness.
Pura Sombra Organic and Reef safe sunscreen is made local plants that are therapeutic, good for your health and the environment and non-toxic like regular sunscreen.
D’fruta Madre dehydrated fruit snacks.
Brothers David and Rafa partner with local farmers who take advantage of the year round growing season and fertile properties of the land to produce excellent organic fruits. They dehydrate fruits such as watermelons, pineapples, mango, banana, coconut, and berries making them accessible anywhere. They are the perfect snack for hiking and travel. The packaging is eco friendly and National Park approved.
Pacifica Kombucha – This healthy fermented tea drink is excellent for your digestion. We have the perfect environment on the coast of Costa Rica for kombucha fermentation and our friends Sam and Ambra have made the perfect brew with multiple flavors using an intricate organic, sustainable process.
Costa Rica Beer factory has made a craft beer custom made for Manuel Antonio! We carry this delightful red ale as well as a sweet fruity ale made from the apples of Dota.
We look forward to sharing this project and making more connections with local, sustainable artisans so that we can give our guests an authentic taste of Costa Rica. Guests can now preorder items to have them stocked in their villa upon arrival. Additionally, Many of the “collaborative’s” items are great gift items or just simple treats from the surrounding area.
