Escaping the cold winter in the US, the Gouka family found themselves at home at the EOC last week. We were happy to help them make our Villa on the beach their basecamp for adventure.
This fun, active couple brought their 4 and 3 year old boys out to explore the best Costa Rica has to offer on land and sea everyday. They enjoyed a morning on the catamaran snorkeling, an afternoon spotting animals at the Manuel Antonio National park, and had so much fun seeing red eyed tree frogs, Gladiator and Bullfrogs as they took a tour through the jungle one night.
Their favorite moments were spent riding horses down the beach and up the mountain to a waterfall where they discovered frogs and shrimp. Their guide taught them all about the rainforest, showing them plant variety and things they could eat along the way. They were so impressed when he climbed the coconut tree from the saddle of his horse to get coconuts for them to drink. It was so refreshing on a hot day. They absolutely loved sharing this kind of experience as a family, connecting deeper with each other and nature.
They said this experience was perfect for their family and they would recommend to anyone who comes to Costa Rica.
