My husband, 3 year old daughter, and I spent 6 nights here. The host couple and their children live behind the villa. They provided a perfect balance of giving us space when we wanted, and giving us company and information when we wanted it. And our daughter had fun playing with their adorable girls. They set up everything we needed (booked our outings, suggested restaurants, arranged cabs, etc) and they also had the villa cleaned each day while we were out. What a treat to a full house with all the care and services you would receive from a nice hotel. And they are so nice, I really felt like I was leaving friends when we left.
As for the house, it was new and very beautiful. Clearly it was designed with an artistic eye. Monkeys frequented the trees outside the villa, it was so fun to watch them from the pool below or from the upstairs windows. And I loved watching the waves from the living room or hammock as I had my morning tea. The location is perfect, just a 30 second walk to the beach. I’m so glad we chose to stay on the beach, since I didn’t notice any facilities on the beach, and this would have been difficult with our child. And since there are almost no beachfront properties in MA, you should chose this one! It was also perfect that we didn’t have to rent a car. It was 5 min walk to the state park, a few minutes to the main town in MA, and a 2 min walk to the bus stop that had very simple inexpensive reliable transportation up the hill to restaurants, butterfly farm, more shopping, and Quepos town.
