Rio Naranjo River Rafting

The raging Naranjo River White Water Rafting challenge is recommended for physically fit adventure seekers and experienced rafters who are familiar with Class III and IV rapids.

For the adventure some beginner to the experienced rafter you can choose from rivers of class III-V rapids.  All will have you filled with adrenaline as you paddle hard over the waves. Along the way you will be astounded by the awesome canyons, waterfalls, and primary rainforest of Costa Rica. All rivers of choice have magnificent stretches of whitewater and  winds in and  out of a sparsely inhabited valley in the mountains.

At the lower savegre the whitewater rapids are exciting, but not so demanding that you won’t have time to enjoy the Savegre’s spectacular tropical scenery. This is one of the most pristine rivers in Costa Rica, and is surrounded by impressive views of the primary rainforest. Lurking just behind the shroud of lush foliage, you will find a number of truly magnificent waterfalls of the Savegre’s tributaries.

The Naranjo river in Manuel Antonio, Quepos is a Class III / IV half day challenge for more experienced paddlers. This river drops steeply from the coastal mountain range above Quepos, Costa Rica through a beautiful jungle gorge, and takes you on a wild ride to sea level passing nearby farmlands and palm plantations.

The “Chorro” section of the Naranjo river has class IV -V rapids, for those of you looking for a more intense rafting experience. Here we will run some of the best and most challenging rapids available in Costa Rica. Exploding whitewater, steep drops, tight rock walls and technical routes will get your adrenaline pumping. We will ride through the narrow canyons surrounded by huge boulders and cascading waterfalls while taking in the breathtaking scenario of the rain forest, making this unique whitewater rafting experience the highlight of your Costa Rica vacation!
